KITAB KELUARAN: EKOLOGI DAN KEBERLANJUTAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF TEOLOGIS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research investigates the theological perspective of ecology and sustainability as reflected in the Book of Exodus, in response to urgent contemporary environmental crises such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and ecological degradation. The study aims to explore how principles of creation care embedded in Exodus—such as the Sabbath year and holistic respect for the land—can inform modern ecological ethics and sustainable practices. Using a qualitative methodology, the research combines biblical text analysis with case studies and statistical data to reveal the practical relevance of theological values in promoting ecological responsibility. The findings show that Exodus not only provides moral guidance but also offers applicable frameworks for sustainable agriculture, conservation, and community-based ecological initiatives. The novelty of this study lies in bridging ancient theological insights with modern sustainability practices, offering an integrative model that connects spirituality, ecological ethics, and practical sustainability.
